Samantha and Michael's wedding theme was pink and ivory roses. They chose Coltsford Mill for their wedding and reception venue as "it was simply stunning".
Mike proposed to Samantha on Valentine's Day. It was a total surprise!
Samantha wore a Maggie Sottero dress called Brea. She tried on 20 various different dresses but this was the first one she tried on. Samantha also wore a hand-made veil with diamante on from Losners and a tiara also from Losners with diamante.
The bridesmaids all wore long pink dresses in raw silk from House of Couture in Hornchurch.
Michael, the best man and ushers wore 'penguin' suits in dark grey, with silver waistcoats and pink cravats, all from Infinita Bridal in Caterham.
The flowers were pink and ivory roses throughout. Samantha had a pink rose bouquet and the bridemaids had an ivory pomander each. Mike and his best man had double ivory rose buttonholes and the rest of the groomsmen had single ivory buttonholes. The female members of the wedding party had ivory rose wrist corsages.
The room was decorated in pinks and ivories. Very simple, but stunning. Square glass vases with liquid gel and pink and ivory roses were used as the table centrepieces. Ivory pillow boxes tied with pink ribbon were given as favours. Inside were Breast Cancer charity pins.
As a surprise for Michael, Samantha hired an Aston Martin Vantage for 3 days.
The couple had 2 cakes. The main cake was 4 ivory iced square layers. The top and bottom were fruit and the middle two were carrot and chocolate. All decorated with pink sugared roses. The second cake was a model of a pink convertible Porsche with sugared versions of Samantha and Michael sitting inside.
Samantha says the best part of her day was "Seeing Mike enjoy the day as much as I was." and a tip for future wedding couples "To take a step back to enjoy each other during the day as we hardly saw each other after the wedding breakfast".
